What is Maya Abdominal Massage?
The Maya Abdominal Massage is an external, non-invasive
manipulation using only your hands to reposition reproductive organs
that have shifted thereby restricting the flow of blood, lymph nerve
and chi. The uterine displacement and resulting constriction cause
most common female complaints as well as a host of seemingly unrelated
ailments.
Abdominal massage is an alternative treatment that has been known
and practiced by ancient Maya healers for thousands of years. The
Arvigo Maya abdominal massage techniques eliminate the primary cause
of female complaints - the congested uterus, thereby preventing
the progression of symptoms to chronic disease. As is true of all
approaches to holistic healing, the abdominal massage supports the
body's inherent healing capacity by working on the over stretched
ligaments. This inherent ability to be self regulating and self-healing
is known as "homeostasis" or balance within.
Who Could Benefit from this Massage?
♣ Women who have symptoms of PMS, painful, heavy, or irregular
periods, constipation, chronic miscarriages, bladder or vaginal
infections, infertility problems, fibroids, or difficult menopause.
♣ A woman who has been told she has a "tipped"
uterus or that it has fallen forward, backward or to the side.
♣ A woman who is or has been a runner, dancer, flight attendant
or gymnast.
♣ Any woman who has been pregnant.
♣ A man who is a pilot, long distant truck driver or having
prostate or bladder problems.
♣ Any woman or man who has chronic constipation, low back
spasms or has had an injury to the sacrum or tailbone from a fall

What Will be Done?
A comprehensive health intake form will be sent prior to the visit
or before the treatment begins. The first visit involves a review
of the health history and a massage of the upper abdomen, lower
abdomen and lower back. You could be fully clothed if you prefer.
Otherwise, we will do with what you are comfortable with. The self-care
technique of abdominal massage done at home will be taught and written
instructions may be provided. The first visit usually lasts one
and a half hour. All follow-up visits, involving massage treatment,
last approximately one hour.
Most people have much stress in life, which contributes to many
health problems. To address this, I often incorporate relaxing massage
into the session. In such case, it will become a full body massage
that include abdomen and back. You may request such session when
you book the appointment. I typically will meet your request by
giving stress-relieving, healing massage that also covers arms,
legs, neck, shoulder, feet and upper back area.
